Passivation

The passivation of metals is a chemical process that is implemented subsequent to pickling and aims to create a protective and passivating film. This process for excellence serves to protect the metal from corrosion.

In detail during passivation, the active metal (that which is spontaneously predisposed to oxidisation) forms a film of oxidised sealing compound which isolates the metal from reagents.

The different types of passivation offered by Zincofer Srl range from blue to tropical trivalent, from black to green trivalent.

For details of the passivation in the different barrel and frame systems, go to the dedicated sections.
